Limited Capacity filling up

This class will fulfill the Minnesota Department of Education license renewal category requirement in Mental Health and will include one hour of suicide prevention. Teachers serve as critical adults in the lives of students for many reasons. When students present with mental health concerns, teachers are often the first to be aware and an integral part of a support team. This course provides a basic understanding of warning signs of early-onset mental illness in children and adolescents. It also provides ideas and strategies that help teachers accommodate students with various conditions in the classroom.
